Immortal CORE Yoga aims to offer what the essence of what Yoga truly is, in a multitude of ways, allowing one to make a yoga practice out of life itself.
Yogic Practices are done with the ultimate aim of "Yoga" at heart. What we call yoga is simply a set of practices. What Yoga really is is a blissful experience of Union with the true Self, in One and All. It is an experience that is beyond the body and the mind, and can be achieved through many different practices that incorporate every aspect of our being, from physical, to energetic, to emotional and mental as well.
Every yogic practice, from beginner to advanced, from physical poses to meditation, all aim towards the highest goal of Self-Realization, but most people practicing yoga do not have that goal in mind - instead, they simply practice yoga for the optimal overall health and wellbeing that it provides.
Yogic Practices are a beautiful marriage between science and spirituality. Anything that you do to clean your being on any level, is a practice of yoga. Anything that you do to bring ease, strength, and balance to any level of your being, is a practice of yoga. Anything that you do to help yourself, or others, is a yogic practice. Anything uplifting that you do for yourself or others, on any level, is yoga. Anything with a positive effect, anywhere, on any level, is a yogic practice. Ultimately these would all lead to an experience of Yoga (Union) - it doesn't matter if it is in an ancient text or not. That is the essence of every yoga practice. So you don't ever have to actually study yoga or know about any specific yoga practices to be a practicing yogi. You don't even have to call yourself a yogi. If you live a clean life, a well-balanced life, serving others and yourself well, taking care of yourself, opening up your heart and others' hearts, being an uplifting presence - you are technically a yogi, whether you use that word or not. It's not the word that we're discussing - it's the essence. The words don't matter.
With that being said, there is a vast, vast collection of wisdom and teachings in the yogic system from true Self-Realized masters that are extremely beneficial to use for all walks of life. Learning and incorporating these techniques, practices, rituals, and other teachings into one's daily life can rapidly bring about a much better, fuller experience of life, all-around - a life filled with beauty, ease, peace, joy, love, compassion, success, freedom, balance, strength, purity, and many more uplifting beneficial qualities.
This is what Immortal CORE Yoga offers: an in-depth teaching of every aspect of classical yogic practices, with an open-ended understanding of the essence of each and every practice. This allows for a virtually unlimited number of practices that can be used, based on the individual's needs, beyond the scope of the yogic teachings.
Immortal CORE Yoga is a practice of Integral Yoga - it integrates six branches of yoga into a comprehensive lifestyle system: Hatha, Raja (which includes Ashtanga), Bhakti, Karma, Jnana, and Japa. According to Sri Swami Satchidananda: “The goal of Integral Yoga, and the birthright of every individual, is to realize the spiritual unity behind all the diversities in the entire creation, and to live harmoniously as members of one universal family. This goal is achieved by maintaining our natural condition of a body of optimum health and strength, senses under total control, a mind well-disciplined, clear and calm, an intellect as sharp as a razor, a will as strong and pliable as steel, a heart full of unconditional love and compassion, an ego as pure as a crystal, and a life filled with Supreme Peace and Joy.”
